Blackfoot, Idaho — As part of her senior project, 16-year-old Hayley Lemon is taking on environmental issues. At Tuesday’s city council meeting, the Snake River High student will ask the Blackfoot City Council to ban plastic and paper shopping bags.
Lemon, who describes herself as coming from an “outdoorsy family,” says she wants to see Blackfoot become a leader in environmental responsibilty.
