US and Partners Launch 10 More Airstrikes in Syria, Iraq

peterfz30/iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Ten more airstrikes were conducted in Iraq and Syria by U.S. and coalition forces on Saturday.
According to U.S. Central Command, the six airstrikes in Syria focused on ISIS targets near Al Hasakah, Dayr az Zawr and the border town of Kobani. Those strikes hit four tactical units and a counter mobility berm and destroyed two checkpoints and an artillery system.
Four additional strikes were conducted in Iraq, hitting targets near Kirkuk, Mosul and Tal Afar. Centcom says those airstrikes hit three tactical units and a staging area and destroyed 10 vehicles, a fighting position and a building operated by ISIS.
