US, Partners Conduct Six More Airstrikes in Iraq, Syria

pablographix/iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — U.S. and coalition forces launched six more airstrikes in Iraq and Syria on Friday.
According to U.S. Central Command, just one strike was launched against ISIS targets in Syria. That strike, targeted near the border town of Kobani, destroyed a pair of fighting positions.
Five strikes in Iraq, focused on the cities of Al Asad, Ar Rutbah, Mosul and Sinjar, destroyed six ISIS-owned boats, five buildings, a vehicle and a fighting position. Centcom says the strikes also struck two tactical units.
