Kevin Spacey Reveals What Bill Clinton Thinks of “House of Cards”

The former president “practically serves as a series adviser,” according to the latest issue of Gotham Magazine.

In the issue, the show’s star, Kevin Spacey, sits down and chats about his relationship with the former leader of the free world.

Spacey, 55, former poker buddies with Clinton said, “He tells me, ‘I love that House of Cards.’”

In fact, Spacey said Clinton, 68, told him, “‘Kevin, 99 percent of what you do on that show is real. The 1 percent you get wrong is you could never get an education bill passed that fast.’”

As for the hit show itself, the Oscar winner said that when he signed on three years ago to play Frank Underwood, it was all about the quality and lack of fear that permeated throughout the project.

“I liked that it was a brave thing to do,” he said of the show having no pilot and rolling out a season at a time. “I’m not a binge-watcher myself, but I understand the addiction completely.”
