Two Ohio College Students Charged with Scrawling Racist, Homophobic Slurs
Published at(OXFORD, Ohio) — Two 19-year-old students at an Ohio college have been charged by cops with criminal mischief after officials at Miami University alleged they wrote a series of inflammatory statements on a residence hall billboard.
William Robert Armour and Samir Arora Lal also face disciplinary action from the school.
University President David Hodge wrote an email that the students were responsible for a series of anti-Semitic, anti-female, homophobic and racial slurs, lamenting that “Miami is not immune from the behaviors that have challenged college campuses across the country during the past few weeks.”
Meanwhile, Miami University Police said that Armour has already admitted, “We wrote stupid s*** on the board. We’re not racist. We will accept responsibility…We regret it. We admit to everything.”
