“Avengers” Tops Box Office for Second Weekend

051015 BoxOffice?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1431290748270Buena Vista(NEW YORK) — Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron continued to dominate the domestic box office for its second weekend.

In ten days, The Avengers has earned $312.9 million, tying with another superhero film favorite, The Dark Knight, to become the second-fasted film to do so.

Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara’s buddy comedy, Hot Pursuit, failed to impress at the box office with only $13.3 million in its first weekend.

Avengers may be on top for now, but next weekend there will be the highly-anticipated releases of Mad Max: Fury Road and Pitch Perfect 2.
