CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Theme park ride breaks, sends riders flying

Cap-d’Agde, France — A 24-year-old suffered a broken leg when a cable on a slingshot ride at a French theme park snapped, causing the ride cage to collide with a support tower.
The video was recorded at Luna Park on France’s Mediterranean coast, according to The Local.
Authorities report the other person on the ride was not injured.
The theme park blamed the accident on a “manufacturing defect” in the elastic cable, according to multiple reports. The ride is now closed.
