IDAHO FALLS — A large contingent of law enforcement and civilian vehicles participated in a police procession Monday to honor the passing of Idaho Falls Police Officer Sabas Flores, III, who passed away Aug. 18.

Funeral services were held at Lincoln LDS Stake Center in Idaho Falls Monday morning. The procession then drove from Idaho Falls to Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello, where Flores was to be given full police honors.

The Idaho Falls Police Department had this to say about Flores in a recent press release:

“Sabas, who started his career at the IFPD in 2001, had a wonderful, heartwarming smile that easily revealed his gentle, kind nature. He truly was a loving man and would do anything for his fellow officers and his family. He also was a great officer as he worked hard and dedicated his life to serving and protecting the community. He exemplified the department values of professionalism, respect, trust and integrity every time he wore the police uniform. He truly was a good guy.”
