Michigan International Speedway Announces Safety Initiatives
Published at | Updated at(BROOKLYN, Mich.) — Michigan International Speedway has announced safety initiatives ahead of this weekend’s NASCAR races at the track.
Approximately 150 feet of temporary wall will be added to the existing pit road tri-oval wall, extending toward Turn 4.
In addition, attenuators will be placed at the end of the extension on the wall.
Other safety measures were announced in April.
MIS will host the XFINITY Series and Camping World Truck Series races on Saturday. The Sprint Cup Series will hold the Pure Michigan 400 the next day.
