The Philadelphia Eagles dropped quarterback Tim Tebow on Saturday in the NFL’s final hours before teams have to reduce their teams to 53 players.
The last time Tebow played on the field for a professional game during the regular season was with the Jets in 2012.
Tebow has also played for the Denver Broncos and won the 2007 Heisman Trophy. He gained notoriety for being a devout Christian and kneeling in prayer before each game, which has since been called “Tebowing.”
