Two Star Wars fans said “I do” on opening night of the franchise’s latest installment.

Andrew Porter and Caroline Ritter of Australia were married outside of the famed TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood Thursday afternoon in a Star Wars-themed wedding.

“It was the theater’s idea,” Ritter told Mashable of the nuptials. “They asked if anyone was interested in getting married here on the premiere date.”

Marry they did, before friends with whom they’ll see the film with Thursday evening. Darth Vader walked Ritter down the aisle as a violinist played the theme to the movie, and R2-D2 served as the ring bearer.

“May your love last longer than a Sarlacc’s digestion,” said the officiant, a man dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Porter and Ritter are part of a group of people who have been waiting outside the cinema since December 5 for opening night. To get the opportunity to buy tickets, each member of the group must spend 24 hours outside with the group, according to their website.
