Jason Nathanson/ABC News Radio(LOS ANGELES) — The Hateful Eight director Quentin Tarantino received the 2,569th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday.
The ceremony took place in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre, where the filmmaker recalled he saw Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid at the age of 7 — probably the first time he walked that particular area of the famed sidewalk, he said.
Tarantino said, “I take it seriously that I am a member of this community, I am a member of this town, and I respect it and I love it.”
One of his Hateful Eight stars, Samuel L. Jackson, spoke at the ceremony. The Hateful Eight opens in limited release Christmas Day.
