REXBURG — A man on felony probation was arrested early Wednesday morning after deputies say he stole two vehicles.

Tyrell Fisher of Rexburg was booked into the Madison County jail on two counts of motor vehicle theft.

Madison County Sheriff deputies received a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence around 5:30 a.m. The person reported that another vehicle, not belonging to them, had been left at their home next to where their vehicle had been parked.

Investigators learned the abandoned vehicle was registered to Fisher, who is currently on felony parole.

Madison deputies and officers with the Rexburg Police Department located the stolen vehicle a short time later. They also found Fisher and another man at the Teton Lakes Golf Course.

Investigators say Fisher had keys to the stolen vehicle as well as the keys to a second stolen vehicle that had not yet been reported.

The other man was released pending further investigation.
