DAILY FORECAST: Sun, warmer temperatures and possible flooding

  Published at  | Updated at

IDAHO FALLS β€” It’s going to be a wet weekend in eastern Idaho.

Eastern Idaho remains under a flood watch for Friday, March 3. That advisory is in effect until at least Monday, due to expected rainfall and snow melt starting on Saturday. The following counties are effected: Bonneville, Madison, Bingham, Bannock, Jefferson, Butte, Caribou, Franklin, Oneida and Power.

A more severe flood warning is in effect in Minidoka County and in northern Utah.

Expect rapid snow melt that may cause pooling of water and flooded roadways at low water crossings. Some roads may become washed out, and homeowners situated in areas of poor drainage may experience flooding.

The Idaho Transportation Department reports roads are in good condition throughout eastern Idaho.

No major road closures or hazards are being reported as of 8 a.m. Friday.
