REXBURG — A roll-over crash has spilled potatoes across the roadway and into the median along U.S. Highway 20 near the Thornton overpass.

A semi-truck loaded with seed potatoes was traveling southbound around 1 p.m. Tuesday when a car pulled in front of the truck. Investigators say the semi driver served to avoid the vehicle, which caused the semi to roll.

Madison County sheriff deputies, Madison Fire and EMS, and Idaho State Police responded to the crash.

The driver of the vehicle, who has not been identified, had to be extricated from the car.

He was transported by ground ambulance to Madison Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Madison County is handling investigation.

Traffic near the accident has been reduced to one lane on the southbound roadway. Speed has been reduced to 35 miles an hour along the crash site.
