Flood warning issued for Bonneville, Jefferson, Madison Counties
Published atPOCATELLO — The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for the Snake River near Heise affecting Bonneville, Jefferson and Madison Counties.
Increasing releases from the Palisades Reservoir will push the Snake River above flood stage by late Tuesday. Persons near the river should be aware of the expected high water and take action to protect property.
At 5:01 p.m. Monday, the stage was 7.5 feet. Flood stage is 8.0 feet. Water is expected to rise above flood stage by Tuesday evening and continue to rise near 8.1 feet by Wednesday morning.
