Vehicle slams into animal on US 20 causing another wreck

REXBURG– Traffic on US 20 was backed up Friday evening after the driver of a vehicle hit a large animal.

The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes near Thornton exit 328. Animal remains were splattered throughout the highway.

Another wreck occurred as a result of the crash, according to Madison County dispatch. It is unclear if the second wreck involved the first car and if those involved in the wrecks were injured.

Madison County Sheriff deputies responded to both crashes.
