5 people hospitalized after crash near Ammon Walmart

IDAHO FALLS — Idaho Falls Police are investigating a two-vehicle injury crash that sent at least five people to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Hitt Road and the Ammon Walmart entrance just after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

One adult was transported to EIRMC along with four juveniles. One other person was involved in the crash, but refused to be transported and went to the hospital via private vehicle, according to Idaho Falls city spokeswoman Kerry Hammon.

At least one person had to be extricated from a vehicle.

No other details were available.

Authorities are reminding drivers that there are a lot of people traveling for the holidays right now. Please stay alert and engaged in driving and please pull over if tired, and don’t drink and drive.
