ORIGINAL STORY
ISLAND PARK — About 650 Fall River Electric customers are without power in the Island Park area this morning.
About nine areas in the region lost power early Wednesday due to heavy, wet snow, which brought down power lines throughout the community. The downed lines tripped breakers inside many of the substations, according to a Fall River news release.
The areas most affected include Macks Inn, Yale/Kilgore Road, areas north of the Island Park resorvior and south of Henry’s Lake.
Crews are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
Customers are encouraged to monitor the Fall River Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/FallRiverREC/ for updates on the outages.
