Three big bands set to rock the stage in eastern Idaho this summer

POCATELLO — Three big bands will rock the stage at the Portneuf Health Trust Amphitheatre this summer.

Stone Temple Pilots, The Cult and Bush will be doing a joint 20 city tour and the Gate City is one of those cities.

Officials made the announcement Monday and say they are working with promoters to secure more concerts for the upcoming season, but many artists have turned down offers to play at the Amphitheatre.

“We’re still in that establishment mode,” says Aaron Greenwell, Bannock County Facilities and Events Director. “We’re trying our venue out for others, the band and artists to see how it plays and what kind of a turnout it has before (others) will completely accept an offer.”

Greenwell says they are hoping to have four to six concerts this year and the county and the Portneuf Health Trust is working together to produce their own independent shows for the community.

“We’re playing the promoter part as well and so the county and the Health Trust are together navigating through this new venture. We are just basically reaching out to the artist and putting the bids in,” says Greenwell.

The concert featuring Stone Temple Pilots, The Cult and Bush will be held August 23. Click here to purchase tickets.
