California man killed in northern Idaho motorcycle crash
Published at | Updated atRATHDRUM — A California man died in a northern Idaho motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon.
Jesse Villa, 68, of Torrance, California was driving a 2000 Honda motorcycle on Highway 53 around 2:45 p.m. when he approached Ramsey Road.
Joseph Bitner, 22, of Athol, Idaho, approached Ramsey Road while travelling eastbound in a white 2005 Ford F350. Idaho State Police say Bitner turned to go northbound on Ramsey Road when he collided with Villa’s motorcycle.
Villa was thrown from the motorcycle and died on the scene, according to police.
Bitner was wearing a seatbelt and Villa was wearing a helmet.
Today’s crash at HWY 53 and Ramsey Road was a pick-up truck vs motorcycle. The motorcyclist was killed, he WAS wearing a helmet and appeared to have had the right of way. The investigation is ongoing. pic.twitter.com/CSNSEHhyk0
