AMMON — City snow removal and parking restrictions have gone into effect.

The city’s new Snow Removal Regulations and Operating Procedures Resolution went into effect Thursday and will stay in effect until March 15.

The resolution prohibits on-street parking when it snows 2 or more inches. Owners of vehicles parked on city streets could face a minimum fine of $50. Vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense.

The resolution also prohibits moving snow unto, or across, city streets. Violators could face a minimum $50 fine.

The city says it will keep residents updated on snow events on its Facebook page, website and moveable electronic billboards.
