Man arrested for allegedly abusing infant

MADISON COUNTY — A man was arrested for allegedly abusing an infant after deputies were called to Madison Memorial Hospital Sunday.
Agustin J. Rivera Jr. was booked into the Madison County Jail on one count of felony injury to child.
When Madison County Sheriff deputies arrived at the hospital, they discovered an infant with a broken femur and bruising, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
After meeting with medical personnel, Rivera was taken into custody. He is expected to appear in court Monday afternoon.
