BILLINGS, Montana – A family reported missing Thursday in southeastern Montana died in a one-vehicle crash east of Billings that same day.

Anthony and Chelsi Dean, both 25, from North Dakota, and their daughters, 5-year-old Kaytlin and 20-month-old Avri were killed when their Toyota 4Runner went off the interstate near Huntley about 7 a.m. before hitting the median and landing in the gutter.

“The SUV struck a concrete bridge support pillar and came to rest in Pryor Creek,” reports the Associated Press.

The Montana Highway Patrol tells the Associated Press the crash site was found about 8 p.m. Friday after investigators pinged their cellphones.

The Deans were on their way to Ekalaka, Montana after visiting family in Caldwell. They last contacted family at 6:30 a.m. Thursday from Billings.
