Officials release name of 31-year-old homicide victim

PRESTON — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a man found dead in his Preston home Saturday.

Wilden Everett Lovin Jr., 31, was found deceased inside his home on 515 South 200 East in Preston by an unnamed person who told dispatchers the death “was not normal,” according to a Franklin County Sheriff’s Office news release. Deputies responded and notified supervisors that the scene indicated foul play.

“The death has been classified as a homicide and will continue to be an open case. The victim has been released to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office and will be transported to have an autopsy as soon as possible,” the news release says.

The Preston Police Department, Idaho State Police and Tri-County Sheriff’s Association are helping the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says they have multiple persons of interest but no arrest has been made in what they are calling a “vigorous” investigation.
