IDAHO FALLS – More snow is headed to eastern Idaho this weekend.

The National Weather Service is forecasting rain and snow throughout eastern Idaho Saturday night. Areas of impact include Pocatello and Shoshone and north to Idaho Falls, Arco, Dubois and Island Park.

Communities in and around Island Park and Driggs will likely be impacted the most.

If you’ll be traveling Saturday night, be aware that roads may be slick in some areas.

A cold front will move in Sunday afternoon, NWS reports, affecting most of the region. Most of the precipitation will turn to snow, resulting in significant accumulations Sunday night and into Monday.

Be prepared for blowing and drifting snow throughout the Snake River Plain, Sawtooth Range and Magic Valley.
