Man arrested after police say he offered marijuana wax in exchange for fast food on Facebook

IDAHO FALLS — The Idaho Falls Police Department Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant today at 3144 Tipperary Lane. Officers arrested Brian Starliper, a 22-year-old Idaho Falls resident, for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, as well as two outstanding warrants.

Idaho Falls Police officers were notified of a Facebook post by Starliper early Thursday morning that indicated Starliper had an illegal substance, marijuana wax, at his home address.

Officers obtained a warrant and conducted a search of the residence early this afternoon which yielded 10 grams of marijuana and concentrate, 1 gram of cocaine, and various drug paraphernalia.

Starliper was arrested and taken to the Bonneville County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, a Bonneville County warrant – misdemeanor probation violation and an Idaho Falls Police warrant – misdemeanor failure to appear.
