A touching Secret Santa surprise for an 8-year-old cancer survivor who needs a new glass eye

  Published at

A Secret Santa is back and this Christmas is bigger than ever!

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local man gift more than $500,000 this holiday season. A lot more. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to help as many individuals in our community as he can.

Driggs is an 8-year-old boy who was diagnosed with cancer in one eye when he was 2. He lost his eye and the glass eye he has been using no longer fits properly.

He needs a new one but insurance does not cover it. Driggs is the oldest of five children and their family welcomed a baby sister into their home just three weeks ago. His dad works full-time and his mom stays at home with the kids.

Secret Santa heard about Driggs and asked us to take him an early Christmas gift. Watch the video above to see the surprise!
