BLM is hiring seasonal wildland firefighters

POCATELLO — The Bureau of Land Management Idaho Fire is hiring seasonal wildland firefighters.

Idaho Fire has positions to fill in Idaho Falls, Pocatello and Salmon. Openings were posted at usajobs.gov on Dec. 7. See individual job postings for the application deadlines. The first cutoff day is Jan. 5.

These full-time forestry aid and technician positions, which are temporary and will not exceed 1,039 hours of service time, are on engine crews and engage directly with fires. There are also positions to be filled on fuels crews, which deal with clearing or thinning of woodland trees and brush.

The pay for the positions ranges from $13.32 to $16.98 per hour.
