IDAHO FALLS — Police are still trying to find a man caught on camera burglarizing an Idaho Falls home in October.

On Oct. 26, Dave Prescott left his mobile home around 7:30 a.m. on May Street to get an oil change. Around this time, nearby security cameras captured a man looking through windows and trying to open the doors of Prescott’s neighbors.

After Prescott left, the man seized the opportunity, going inside the unlocked home. As Prescott pulled up to his house, cameras capture the man leaving the back of the home with bags, walking down a nearby alleyway.

Prescott walked into his disheveled home and noticed many things were out of place or had been thrown on the floor. Most of what the burglar took was small sundry items such as toothpaste, shampoos, deodorants, laundry detergent, clothes, shoes, a watch, a kitchen knife, backpack, loose change, some keys and a few other similar items.

“This guy took everything,” Prescott said. “He’s already cost me 800 bucks to get my keys replaced. I’m not going to let this go … I’m still upset.”

Anyone with information about the burglary or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Idaho Falls Police Department at (208) 529-1200.
