UPDATE: Man taken to hospital after crash in Ammon

AMMON — Idaho Falls Fire Department spokeswoman Kerry Hammon says an ambulance took a man to a local hospital in stable condition Friday afternoon.

It is not yet clear as to what caused the crash in Ammon on 17th Street near the intersection of Hitt Road.

AMMON — A crash sent a person to the hospital and has closed a portion of 17th Street in Ammon.

First responders were called to the crash just past the intersection of 17th Street and Hitt Road shortly after 1 p.m. The eastbound lanes of 17th Street are closed at the intersection.

Idaho Falls Fire Department spokeswoman Kerry Hammon said that an ambulance took the person to the hospital. The person’s condition was not immediately available.

It remains unclear as to what caused the crash as the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. The Ammon Fire Department also responded to the scene.
