IDAHO FALLS — Idaho National Laboratory opened its application window for STEM grants Tuesday.

Grants will be awarded on behalf of Battelle Energy Alliance, which operates INL for the U.S. Department of Energy.

Educators looking to apply for any of the five grants can do so at stem.inl.gov.

The application window for the P3 (Public-Private-Partnership Proposal) grant will close on March 31. The other four will close on Feb. 1.

These grants are geared toward the cultivation of STEM education in eastern Idaho, and aligning opportunities and programs with Idaho’s future workforce needs.

INL has awarded nearly $5 million in STEM grant money over the past 10 years.
