She needs expensive special shoes and a Secret Santa just delivered

Secret Santa is back and this Christmas is bigger than ever!

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local man gift more than $500,000 this holiday season. A lot more. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to help as many individuals in our community as he can.

We will be surprising deserving people and families every day from now until Christmas with gifts unique to their circumstances.

Brooke Nichols has had spine, neck and other bone issues most of her life. She has been through multiple surgeries and wears braces on her legs.

She requires special shoes called AFOS (accommodate ankle foot orthosis) which work with the braces that have become necessary for her to walk. Brooke’s insurance is Medicaid, but it does not cover the special shoes she needs. She really needs a new pair of shoes and a pair of boots that will accommodate her braces.

Brooke was a duty aide at an elementary school but was laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She tries her best and always makes everyone around her feel special.

Secret Santa heard Brooke’s story and asked the East Idaho News elves to go deliver a special gift. Watch the video above to see the surprise!
