Highways reopen between Ashton and Montana state line

US Highway 20 and ID Highway 87 have both reopened. Officials urge drivers to use caution as blowing snow and poor visibility is possible in some spots.

ASHTON — US Highway 20 is closed between Ashton and the Montana state line due to blowing snow, according to the Idaho Transportation Department.
ID Highway 87 is also closed between US 20 and the Montana line.
The closures come as a high wind warning is in effect for all of eastern Idaho until 4 p.m Monday.
Winds between 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph can be expected most of the day, according to the National Weather Service. Winds will be strongest through 9 a.m.
It’s unknown when the roads will reopen.
