EastIdahoNews.com is highlighting hardworking people who make our local businesses a success. Every Sunday, we’re Getting to Know YOU!

1. Name and Job Title: Kris Bertagnolli, Chief Revenue Officer at Anderson Hicks Group

2. What do you do in your position? I work with Shawn Anderson, Stephanie Brackett and Mike Hicks to assure the company is growing and moving forward. I oversee the Sales, Marketing and Expansion arms of the company.

3. Where were you born and when is your birthday? Ogden, Utah on November 13.

4. How long have you lived in eastern Idaho and what city do you live in now? 19 years, Idaho Falls

5. Tell us about your first job after high school or college. I ran an outside sales territory for AirLiquide, a specialty gas company. I covered a territory comprising Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and northern Utah.

6. What is the best business decision you’ve ever made? To Marry my wife – more her decision than mine. Truthfully, she is incredibly supportive and has sacrificed much to allow me to work and grow companies. Her support and confidence in me has allowed me to have the confidence I need in business.

7. Tell us about your family. My wife, Heather, and I have three beautiful daughters: Gracie, Giada, and Lola. Our family is all about being active and enjoying the outdoors. In the summer you can find us camping or hiking, and in the winter we love skiing/snowboarding.

8. Tell us about a movie or book that has inspired you the most in life. I enjoy reading, so picking one is hard. ’12 Rules for Life’ and ‘Beyond Order’ by Jordan B. Peterson have been books that I’ve really enjoyed recently.

9. Tell us about a lesson you learned from a mistake you made in your career. Man, this is hard to narrow down to just one as well. I’m constantly making mistakes and learning from them. Then making adjustments and attacking the task, opportunity, or plan again. What I’ve learned is that mistakes are a part of doing business, and they’re really an opportunity to learn and grow. The challenge becomes not making the same mistake twice.

10. What is the goal you hope to accomplish in the next 12 months? As a team we are working to help 1,000 families buy or sell a home. Our team is tracking really close right now. We will make that happen!

11. What is one piece of advice you have for someone who wants to do what you’re doing? Work hard and surround yourself with the right people. You can accomplish anything you want to if you are willing to work for it, and you surround yourself with positive, winning attitudes.

12. If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently? I’d have finished my schooling as quickly as possible, and gotten an MBA. I’d also have worked to get an accounting degree as opposed to a Professional and Technical Sales Degree. Knowing the accounting side of business is incredibly empowering. I’d have worked to gain that knowledge earlier in life.

13. Where is your favorite place to eat in eastern Idaho? My wife and I really enjoy the Snakebite. If I’m doing lunch with colleagues or friends I like Stockman’s or Longhorn Steakhouse.

14. Tell us something surprising about yourself. My mustache….It’s surprising to people much of the time…

15. How do you like your potatoes? I love my potatoes Russet style. My mother-in-law makes the best twice-baked potatoes in Idaho! That’s how I prefer mine – twice-baked from Desiree’s Kitchen!
