Lucy Blaylock, the 13-year-old behind Lucy’s Love Blankets, answers 7 Questions with Emmy

  Published at

Every week I’m interviewing fascinating people in our community, nation and around the world.

When Lucy Blaylock was 8 years old, she began making blankets for family members and friends. Those acts of kindness quickly morphed into something bigger and over the years Lucy has made over 1,000 blankets that she has donated to others!

Lucy’s kindness has been featured in ‘Better Homes and Gardens,’ on ‘Random Acts’ and other media outlets.

I was happy Lucy agreed to chat with me! Here’s what I asked her:

  • What is Lucy’s Love Blankets and when did you start it?
  • How do you find the kids to make blankets for?
  • Who taught you to make blankets and how long do they take you?
  • Do you have other hobbies besides making blankets?
  • Why do you do what you do?
  • Have you ever been to Idaho and tried our famous potatoes?
  • What would you say to other kids who want to make a difference in the world?

BONUS QUESTIONS

  • What was it like being on the TV show “Random Acts”?
  • How can people donate or help you with Lucy’s Love Blankets?
