Man killed in three-vehicle crash near Caldwell

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police is investigating a three-vehicle fatality crash that occurred on Friday at approximately 7:58 a.m., at the intersection of Ustick Road and Farmway Road, in Canyon County.

A 2012 Jeep Cherokee, driven by an 80-year-old male from Caldwell, was traveling westbound on Ustick Road. The Jeep stopped at the stop sign and failed to yield, where it collided with a 1998 Dodge Ram pick-up, driven by a 40-year-old male from Caldwell traveling southbound. The Dodge then collided with a 1998 Infinity QX4 driven by a 64-year-old male from Marsing, traveling northbound on Farmway Road.

The driver of the Infinity succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The drivers of the Jeep and the Infinity were wearing seatbelts. The driver of the Dodge was not wearing his seatbelt and was transported to a local hospital via private vehicle.

Farmway Road was blocked at Ustick Road for approximately three hours.
