Man shot in Pocatello altercation, police say

POCATELLO — Police officers are investigating a shooting near downtown Pocatello.
Pocatello Police officers responded to reports of a shooting near the Center Street underpass around 6:30 p.m. Monday, according to a news release from the department.
One man, who has not been identified, was injured in the shooting and was taken to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment. The release did not note the extent of his injuries or his medical status.
The shooting occurred as part of an altercation between two men. According to police, there is no danger to the community.
