BYU-I’s Center Stage announces Winter 2024 Season lineup

REXBURG — BYU-Idaho Center Stage is pleased to announce its Winter 2024 Season performance lineup. The upcoming season features culturally-inspired performers, a world-class illusionist, a multi-GRAMMY award winner and a scripture-based masterpiece performed by a non-denominational choir. 

  • Performing on Friday, Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hart Auditorium is BYU Living Legends. 
  • Rick Thomas, award winning illusionist, will perform on Friday, Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hart Auditorium. 
  • The six-time GRAMMY award winning singer, Amy Grant, will perform on Friday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the BYU-Idaho Center. 
  • The final Center Stage event of the semester will be Rob Gardner’s “Lamb of God” performed by Witness Music Idaho Falls on Saturday, March 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the BYU-Idaho Center.

Tickets are on sale now for all four events and can be purchased online at www.byui.edu/tickets. BYU-Idaho students may purchase tickets at a discounted rate (see below). The general public is welcome to all Center Stage performances.

In a performance of culturally inspired dance, music, and costumes, Brigham Young University’s Living Legends celebrates the Latin American, Native American, and Polynesian cultures in its shows. Spectacular choreography, colorful costumes, and heart-pounding music bring to life the skill, beauty, and authenticity of these traditional cultures. All performers in Living Legends are of indigenous heritage.

Friday, February 2, 2024, 7:30 p.m.

Rick Thomas is one of the most successful illusionists in the world today. He has completed five world tours covering 50 countries. From sold out performances at Caesars Coliseum, headlining the Sydney Opera House in Australia and performing on Broadway, Rick entertains millions of people with his magic. Rick has been awarded Stage Magician of the Year and Magician of the World by the World Magic Awards. 
  
Amy Grant

Amy Grant’s career spans more than 40 years and stretches from her roots in gospel into becoming an iconic pop star, songwriter, and television personality. With six GRAMMY awards, three multi-platinum albums and ten platinum or gold albums, as well as 1 billion global streams, Amy is firmly accepted as a music superstar and icon.

Founded in 2022, Witness Music has a mission to present sacred and inspirational music presented by and for people any religious tradition. Witness Music Idaho Falls is one of several chapters of the national organization and are currently performing Rob Gardner’s “Lamb of God” for more than 30,000 people every year. Their vision is that this movement will eventually expand to hundreds of cities across the globe where their sacred music productions can bring the message of hope and healing.  This concert is a gift from Center Stage and, although ticketed, will be complementary admission for all.
