IDAHO FALLS — The family of Kali Jean Randall issued a statement Saturday evening following the discovery of Zeke Best and the arrest of Jeremy Best.

“We thank all of you for walking with us during this time. Our Zeke is now at rest with his loving mama and unborn sibling,” says the statement from Brian Randall, Kali Randall’s brother. “The pain we feel is unimaginable and we thank everyone for their support. You will never know how you have lifted our family up during this time. As this is an ongoing investigation, we ask for privacy as we take time to process and grieve.”

Kali Jean Randall, Zeke Best’s mother, was discovered dead Thursday night at her Victor home. Her husband, Jeremy Best, left the residence with their 10-month-old.

An Amber Alert was issued early Friday morning; on Saturday around 9:15 a.m., hunters east of Idaho Falls discovered Jeremy Best naked in a sleeping bag on the side of the road. His black SUV was nearby and Zeke was found deceased.

A cause of death has not been determined, Bonneville County Coroner Rick Taylor told EastIdahoNews.com. Zeke’s body will be taken to Boise for a forensic autopsy before a decision can be made.

Jeremy Best was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on the outstanding homicide warrant out of Teton County. He will remain there until his arraignment.
