40-acre fire in Fort Hall is ‘suspicious,’ officials say, and it’s under investigation

FORT HALL – Authorities are investigating a “suspicious” grass fire in Fort Hall Monday.
The 40-acre blaze began at 2:30 p.m. on West Siphon and Government Road, according to a news release from the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.
The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Fort Hall Fire Department and Fort Hall Police Department responded and had it fully contained by 5 p.m.
No injures have been reported, but the State Fire Marshall’s Office is involved in the investigation.
