The following is a news release from Brigham Young University-Idaho.

REXBURG — Brigham Young University-Idaho is set to unveil a new campus monument on Tuesday, Dec. 10, immediately following the university’s weekly devotional.

The public is invited to join students, faculty, and staff at the unveiling ceremony, which will take place on campus near the roundabout just west of the Taylor Quad. The distinctive John Taylor Building is visible just above the monument, making it an ideal photo backdrop location and meeting place.

This event marks a momentous occasion for the university as it continues to focus on its mission. Those who have been involved with the development of this monument have been eager for the campus community to see it upon completion.

Andy Johnson, BYU-Idaho’s Director of Architecture and Construction Management Services, shared his thoughts on what this monument could mean for students.

“We hope this monument will stand for many generations as graduating classes take their picture there,” Johnson said.

Johnson also expressed his gratitude for all those involved with the design and creation process.

“A lot of talented people on campus, as well as many contractors, have contributed to this effort,” he said.

Brigham Young University-Idaho was founded and is supported and guided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Its mission is to develop disciples of Jesus Christ who are leaders in their homes, the Church, and their communities.
