LORENZO – Snowy conditions have resulted in multiple slideoffs along U.S. Highway 20 between Rigby and Rexburg Wednesday afternoon.
Lt. Marvin Crain with the Idaho State Police tells EastIdahoNews.com there are multiple vehicles that slid off the road near the Lorenzo bridge a little after noon.
Pictures sent to us by an EastIdahoNews.com reporter driving in the area show a vehicle with extensive damage. Crain hasn’t heard anything about a crash as a result of the slide-offs. No injuries have been reported.
Idaho State Police are on scene. Traffic is at a standstill, according to EastIdahoNews.com reporter Brittni Johnson.
Crain anticipates the flow of traffic being affected for a while. He didn’t say how long. The public is asked to avoid the area until the scene is cleared.
