Pachangas Mexican cuisine offers a delicious mix of savory and spicy cuisine

IDAHO FALLS — Pachangas Mexican Cuisine brings the taste of home with each meal.
Owner Antonio Meza started Pachangas 18 years ago in Idaho Falls. It was once on B Street, but found its permanent home on A Street.

Meza said the food has changed a bit over the years as he’s taken feedback from customers, but he still aims to ensure each dish represents himself and his culture.
The first dish we tried was the chipotle chicken with shrimp added. Although a bit on the spicier side, the heat is still manageable and brings an amazing taste. The dish features a cream-based chipotle sauce and can be ordered without the chipotle.
This entree was my favorite, and I do recommend ordering it with the added shrimp.
The second dish is the Battle of the Chilies, a bigger entree that features several standout items: a chile colorado, beef in red pasilla sauce, chile verde, pork with a cilantro jalapeno sauce, and a chile relleno.
Meza said a chile relleno is a pasilla pepper that is charred with the burned skin peeled off, and stuffed with cheese.
The last dish we tried was the Pachangas fajita with shrimp, steak and chicken on a bed of vegetable mix. This dish allows customers to build their own tacos.
Overall, Pachangas hits every note to be an enjoyable evening or date night meal.
Pachangas is at 435 A Street No. 3616 across from the Willard Arts Center. Their hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and on Wednesday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
