Pedestrian dies after being hit by minivan in Bingham County

BLACKFOOT — A man died Tuesday evening after being hit by a juvenile driving a minivan in Bingham County.
It happened around 6:45 p.m. in the area of 100 West and Mitchell Road.
The male driver of the minivan struck a 47-year-old man who was on foot, according to the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office. A man who witnessed the incident stopped and performed CPR on the victim, who was eventually transported to Bingham Memorial Hospital, where he passed away.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the accident and names of those involved have not been released.
