Local bands rock The Hangar every Saturday night in Rexburg
Published at | Updated atREXBURG — Multiple nights a week, The Hangar hosts a high-energy lineup of local bands, artists, and their fans for nights of socialization and headbanging.
Located at 309 Profit Street in Rexburg, The Hangar is a venue for live music and a vibrant nightlife scene.
Co-owned by Keith Meenan of Make it Now! Productions in Rexburg, The Hangar was founded to give local artists a serious stage and sound system to perform on.
The recently relocated venue, which was previously near Main Street, now boasts a 30-by-30-foot stage and space for up to 350 people, aiming to foster a positive, music-centered community.
Meenan said The Hangar came about partially due to a lack of performing spaces and recognition for local artists in and around Rexburg. Now, he hopes people can come and enjoy the music.
“There was nowhere for them to play,” said Meenan. “The most important part is it’s a real sound-quality venue. We want to make sure the city has a positive place for music to grow.”
The Hangar regularly hosts events like Wednesday open-mic nights, Thursday country line dancing, Friday DJ parties, and live bands/concerts on Saturdays.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. each night. Ticket prices vary depending on the event type. Meenan said The Hangar supports all types of music and events.
“Contact us on Instagram for bookings,” said Meenan.
