SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — A Utah teenager missing for over a month has been found safe in Colorado.

Alisa Petrov, 15, was last seen in Provo, Utah, on the evening of April 21, according to the South Jordan Police Department. She left school, walked to a gas station where she bought some items and was later spotted on Utah Transit Authority surveillance video exiting a train in Provo just before midnight.

In a Facebook post, the department says “a young female voluntarily made contact with the Colorado Springs, Colorado Police Department and identified herself as Alisa Petrov” on Sunday evening.

“Alisa’s identity was confirmed. Alisa is in good health and safe with Colorado officials,” the department post says. “Alisa’s parents have been notified of her location and are working with South Jordan Police to bring her home.”
