LOGAN, Utah (KSL.com) — Old Main at Utah State University was evacuated on Tuesday due to a “suspicious package” on the premises ahead of the Turning Point USA event.

The evacuation comes ahead of the university hosting the next stop in Turning Point USA’s “American Comeback Tour” at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

A panel of speakers is set to take the place of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk, including Sen. Mike Lee, Gov. Spencer Cox, Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs and former Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz.

University spokesman Logan Wilber told KSL.com that, at this time, “everything is moving forward as planned” for the event.
