REXBURG — The newly-formed Wings of Song Choir, an adult community choir founded by Ben Watson—also founder of the Rexburg Children’s Choir—will make its concert debut during the Christmas season in collaboration with Grammy-nominated violinist Jenny Oaks Baker & Family Four.
The performance will take place on Monday, Dec. 15, at the Madison Performing Arts Center in Rexburg as part of Baker’s “Joy to the World” Christmas concert tour.
When Baker learned of the new adult choir in Rexburg, she contacted Watson to see if the ensemble would join her on stage for the holiday performance.
“I’ve had the privilege of working with Jenny on several prior productions with the Rexburg Children’s Choir,” Watson said. “So when she contacted me to inquire about a choir joining her on stage, I was thrilled that she invited the newly formed adult choir to be a part of this concert. It comes at the perfect time as this ensemble is just starting!”
The Wings of Song Choir began rehearsals last week at the Rexburg Tabernacle and welcomes new members from the area. Singers interested in joining may learn more and register at WingsOfSong.com.
