GOODING — Idaho State Police is investigating a three-vehicle crash that left one woman dead and several others injured Tuesday evening on State Highway 46 between Gooding and Wendell.

The collision happened around 5:45 p.m. near milepost 107. According to investigators, a juvenile driving a gray 2011 Ford F-150 was traveling northbound when the pickup crossed the center line and sideswiped a maroon 2016 Subaru Impreza driven by a 28-year-old Hailey woman.

The F-150 then crashed head-on into a gray 2012 Volkswagen Passat driven by a 25-year-old Gooding woman who had a juvenile passenger in the vehicle.

Troopers say the juvenile driver of the pickup, who was wearing a seatbelt, was flown by air ambulance to a local hospital. The 28-year-old Subaru driver, also wearing a seatbelt, was taken by ground ambulance for treatment.

The 25-year-old Gooding woman driving the Volkswagen was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

A juvenile passenger in the Volkswagen was transported by air ambulance to the hospital.

The highway was fully blocked for roughly three hours as emergency crews provided aid and cleared the roadway.

Gooding County Sheriff’s Office, Life Flight, Gooding Fire, and Gooding Ambulance assisted Idaho State Police with the response.
